I always keep careful logs of the fuel use and from this I can find out quite a lot of information.
I have recorded 26,241 miles on LPG in 12 months. Used more than 1500 Gallons of LPG in that time at an overall average of 17MPG. To put that into perspective, I record the cost of Diesel at the same time and to achieve the same running costs of the 4.0 V6 on LPG you'd have to have a Diesel that averaged more than 34mpg. The manufacturer combined MPG figure for a diesel pathfinder is 33.2mpg. So it's cheaper to run the pathfinder with the big powerful 4.0 V6 than the much lesser powered 2.7 diesel.
